Yesterday is Just Tomorrow
If now is looking back tomorrow
And tomorrow’s looking forward today
Then yesterday is just tomorrow
from the standpoint of another day
And last year’s just the next, from the year before
So five o’clock is just the same, as saying one hour ahead of four
And looking back, I seem to call, a decade just means ten
But perhaps you could just say, one year, ten times again
One week ago is 7 days
And 2 is just fourteen
So instead of saying the last two weeks
You could say, 28 days, in between
All these labels
All these names
Are making me confused
I guess we’ll just keep things the same
And keep the same old rules
But then again
Now I think
Keeping things the same
Is just another way of saying
Keeping things that just have changed
