In This Park
In this park is where I dwell,
For this boy I love so well.
He took my heart away from me,
And now he wants to set me free.
I see a girl upon his lap,
Singing her words to a beat and tap.
The smile on her face says he's great,
I guess this sad story is to be my fate.
I go to my home to cry on my bed,
Not a word to my mother was said.
Father came home late that night,
He looked at me from left to right.
He took his knife to cut me down,
And on my dresser a note he found.
Dig my grave, please ,dig it deep,
Dig it for my cold hands and feet.
And on my grave place a dove,
Remeber this I died for love.
