World's Tears
Beautiful; glistening; full of despair
The tears gently fall onto my face
As he weeps, he laughs a low hearty rumble
I see the promise of his bright, warm, smile
But it is not his smile, I have been tricked again
It was only that moment, but I cherished that promise
I wish to console him, but I cannot,
His smile may never shine again
But I need his smile!
His smile makes the world go ‘round
Without his smile, the world is dark and tasteless
Yet now his smile hides behind his tears
Who knows how long his tears will last?
