We Are Not Who You Think We Are
Sweat forms as bodies grind.
Clouds settle over all our minds.
Drink flows and smoke blows.
Eyes meet, figures move close.
Arms thrash and legs kick.
Hips gyrate and hair flicks.
Music pounds to our own special beat.
We can hardly stand on our feet.
Clammy hands grasp at air.
We are the youth without a care.
We’re the tramps, the hopeless cases.
We’re the ones not going places.
We’re the law breakers, the love makers,
The shameless, brazen life fakers.
We’re the ones, without a doubt,
The kids you’re parents warned you about.
