A Stupid Apology
I’ve never said the right thing.
So why should you hear me now?
I don’t have a reason
But I can explain how.
How, all of a sudden
You were hurt beyond belief
That I carelessly hurt you
And gave you so much grief
I was selfish and greedy
And way to vain
To see that my actions
Gave me loss with no gain
I can’t say I’d take it all back
But I’d try to save you
That pain you must have felt
When the lies grew
So I’m sorry
For the pain you felt
Not that I didn’t
But how it was dealt
