Women Liberation Movement
Your sitting there,
on your throne,
commanding me to sit alone
Im up off my knees
I can no longer take this
constant seize
Im going to fight for my rights
should they be equal to yours
no more long sleepless nights.
Im a person
just like you
i may even have the same views.
I am a woman
I am strong
I will have rights.
someday i just might.
- I wrote this poem in the point of view as an aboriginal woman
