Friends are like the sun after darkness,
A new beginning to a new day.
No matter how rough your day has been,
Your friends always have encouraging words to say.
They pick you up when you fall down,
They hold your hand when you need it most.
Friends never let you fall too far,
They are that sturdy, wooden post.
When your world is turned upside down,
And you feel like you're in such a mess,
Always remember, forever and always,
Friends are like the sun after darkness.
