Seasons of Change
Sometimes it feels warm
Like a light within a storm
To keep me feeling safe and sound
Even though you might still pound
Other times you feel so cold
And I just miss that warm hold
Ice buried within my chest
Why is it that there you nest?
Other times this pain's unbearable
Ripping, tearing, makes it hard to stand
Tears burn lines and mark my face
Trapped within this caged place
And other times it feels of nothing
Just a dull un-sounding ring
Nothing registers, eyes glassy and blank
In a place most lonely and dank
These feelings I don't understand
They keep changing at such high demand
Ripping, warming, chilling, air
From behind closed eyes I merely stare
