Beautiful Things
She falls to her knees
And asks You, "God, please?"
Waits for a response,
Then she throws up her arms;
Tears streak down her face.
There, a flower takes their place.
He'd never believed
That such things You'd conceived;
He just trudged through each day
Like it was his price to pay,
Asking, "God, what have you done?"
"I have made the stars and the moon for you, son."
The sun, the moon, a star, a cloud;
Your hurt, your sorrow, your fear, your doubt.
In the Lord God we must have trust
That He makes beautiful things out of dust.
