*FEAR*
“It lies awake at night
Waiting for its victim
Hiding out of sight
Until the time comes
You’ll never know until
It hits and swirls about
An odd sort of thrill
Goes in your head and out
And yet you try to run away
It overtakes you hardest
Blotting out light, so all you say
Will no longer be regarded
It sits behind your conscience
And tries to trick your brain
It wipes away all innocence
And leaves you there in vain
No power on earth can stop it
In its path of destructiveness
For you can never bear it
In your state of dreadfulness
Waiting in a corner
It’s small but strong and fast
And every memory former
Is gone within a flash
You never forget that feeling
Running through your blood
Where horror is all you’re seeing
And adrenaline ever floods
You will never be ready
When fear comes roundabout
You fool! You’re weak, not steady,”
Fear laughs and shrieks and shouts...
