Pain is Beauty in the Eyes of Society
She doesn’t like seeing her reflection,
But she can’t tear her eyes away.
The make-up is caked t/o her face,
“God she’s so ugly,” they snicker and sneer.
Nothing is ever enough.
She’s fixed and changed every aspect of herself, how could she be the same girl.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.
He’s built up muscle to make them see him.
He wants to be known, she’ll notice him then.
He loses interest in his friends, they’re too different.
Trying to gain popularity, but they still don’t see him.
Now his friends won’t take him back, he’s too different.
Raunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.
People can be so cruel,
They call him “queer” and “f**”.
If only he’d kept his secret, nothing would have changed.
His parents turned his back on him, how could he have known?
It wasn’t his choice to be gay, well, I guess it was.
Wish he had someone to love him as he thought about pulling the trigger.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.
