The masses of black gather outside the church
Their soulless eyes reflecting the worst
Of all the possibilities
Well God was wrong
For once I am free and they don't understand
I was never meant to walk upon this land
And I look up from below
Hell awaits for me
There's so many of them that say they will
But they don't have the courage; they don't know the thrill
Of being so close to
My haven...inside the blackness
Feel the heat around and rejoice in this pain
So glad to burn in the blood-red flames
Laugh at those who say
You can't be saved
The simplest of sorrows separate the days
The depression is monotonous but better than the other way
When the thing that keeps you going
Is the possibility of the end
And you dream in red,
You know there's nothing for you,
Alive, or dead.
