Petals
Slide through my fingertips
Like the dead
Thoughts
That slide through my mind
Withered
And loosing color
For I never took them out
To water
Or for sunshine
But I dried them out
So the water
Came too late
From my eyes
And the salt
Stung the last bit
Of life
Out
And my daisy
Turned
Grey
