Ode to Pen
Pen,
which spreads its moist inky hands on surfaces,
unmarked and
virgin in composition,
turned into a splendor of words,
writings,
and completed canvas,
of
anything the mind
can wonder,
that
pen
with
glistening fingers,
which paints
its way across the
elements,
to promise
its thoughts a safe threshold
to live and reign,
never to die,
immortal in many ways,
living on that page,
stuck
in that particular phase.
