Photograph
It's weird how a simple photograph, can take you back in time
To pale faces and gray places that you thought you left behind
The memories surround you, haunting you inside your mind
And cherished, candy-sweet memories is what you find
He took you in from the ice cold rain and loud hard thunder
And when it seemed like the sun bloomed, you then wonder
What happened to the sanctuary you thought you were in
And why the ice cold rain is now pounding on your skin
You wait outside, as the tears disguise themselves as rain
Pound down your confidence that fights your heart's pain
You knock on the windows and knock on the door
But they're shut and you think they dont want more
You know he waits inside, in a dry place with a warm fire
And you see him sigh, wishing he can fulfill your desire
You only dream about him, but when you wake he should be there
And if you only bleed for him,you know that he would care
You were losing him, and now you know that what it feels to be empty
You look at the photograph, wishing to go back in your memories
