I've Come
The stars are shining in the sky,
The fields are wet with dew.
Everybody is asleep, O Lord,
But I’ve come to dance with you.
The world is cool and perfect,
And you whisper in the breeze.
I don’t know how to dance, O Lord,
But with You I spin with ease.
The fields of the night are our ballroom
Under the dome of a starry sky.
I feel beautiful as we twirl together
In a gathering of fireflies.
It’s so easy here to believe You
As the earth meets heaven above.
The dew is Your kiss on my cheek, my Lord,
And my soul bursts in songs of Your Love.
We dance our night dance, Jesus
Until the sun sheds its light all too soon.
But tomorrow when everyone’s sleeping
I’ll come to dance with You.
