bird set free
I spread my wings wide, I open up my eyes.
I fly.
I look around, looking up, looking down
I fly.
The vast unknown calling, pulling me in
I fly.
I see the world and all my troubles I’ve left behind
I fly.
Then, I start descending, my journey ending
I fly.
I lower, closer to the ground I see a little girl sleeping
I fly.
Down. Down, I’m going
I fly.
Everything goes black, I’m crashing. Rough hands grab me.
I struggle to fly.
Locking me away into a cage once again
I awake, opening my eyes.
I flew.
