What is beauty
Through your eyes?
How can you see
Beyond the lies?
How do you know
That this is love?
My tale of woe
Can not be enough.
Why do I make you smile
As I choke back tears?
How do you reconcile
The mistakes of my years?
I’ve been around
A time or two
And every town
Was pointing to you.
I don’t deserve
An ounce of your time
And yet now I observe
You are willingly mine.
Somehow I saved you
While I was on the mend.
And now, I see that I love you.
That’s that; the end.
