Remembering Him
I gotta wash away these tears off my face
because tomorrow will be a better day.
I thought you were better than that
thought that you could be the one.
And yet you prove me wrong
the hopes are now gone.
You promised me too much and
maybe it was too much to ask.
I know I was present in your ups and downs but
the question is were you present in mine?
Is it possible to forget those moments we shared?
I can't believe it was just yesterday we were
living happily compared
to today.
I'm going to miss you but time cures any pain.
I'm going to accept you’re gone.
I'm going to admit I lost you and tomorrow
you won't be waiting at the same place
at the same time.
Is time for both of us to move on.
