Vida.
No one ever looked at me the way she had
With soft eyes and a finger pressed gently to her lips
She touched me with such passion and sorrow
I could feel it slowly pour from her fingertips
When she kissed me her delicate fingers held my wrist
And I thought that every answer could be found in her eyes
She sunk into my splintering bones and got me to believe in love
I explored the curve of her hips at 2am and every doubt I had died
And when she left, my conviction broke
Now I’m left drinking alone
