I wonder why a lot
Sometimes I wonder about things
I wonder why a lot
Like why my cousin would say that she hated her younger brother
When he really wasn’t a bad kid
Why couples would divorce
When their vows said forever and always
Or why my first friend at a new school was a cutter
Who hated her family
And wanted nothing more than to be away from them
I’ve never understood why my uncle liked to drink as much as he did
When it often put him in prison
Why doesn’t anyone think for themselves
Why do they let others think for them
But the biggest why of all
The biggest question that there is
Is why doesn’t anyone else ever seem to wonder why?
