What Am I?
What am I?
I am caught easily by desperate hands
and sometimes carelessly used
I always have the upper hand
and tell you what to do
I am sweet and pour with passion
on all your fragile hearts
I give one-hundred-ten percent
from the place it always starts
But don't you dare be fooled by this
for I can be wicked and unkind
Because if you don't see the truth
heartbreak is what you'll find
I'll rip myself right out of you
and watch those tears cascade
I'll only reach out to comfort you
if you regret the things you did
I make you numb and weak
and make your heart skip beats
I never stop until it hurts
until your body screams
I bear, believe and endure all things
and never seek my own
I am the greatest of the three
and never is provoked
So what am I?
Or who am I?
The answer's at the door
You only have to open it
and accept me inside your soul
