LONESTAR
I reach out my fingertips and they're met with empty air
because I can't find you there
Circles dance around my head, they leave me dizzy
with the thought of you and me
I measure miles in the distant miracles of love
closing my eyes, your soul I dream of
I leave my heavy heart at heaven's gates
trusting He'll take me to the right place
The earth rests, covered by blankets of vast vacant skies
a passion others without tend to despise
I don't feel alone because I know where you are
I look up in the night and I see my Lone Star.
