KING WON'T COME
Close your eyes and think back to the day before
When our lives were simple and carefree
But you knew it wasn’t what you were searching for
When the winds whispered clearly, my wounds became sore
And the pain seemed to sting in harmony
I close my eyes and think back to the day before
The sun and my soul are both insecure;
Illuminating the earth when it seems easy
You told me you’d found what you were searching for
Like the rain, you always needed more
While the clouds above my head left me dizzy
So I closed my eyes to remember the day before
Meteorologists and lovers are often unsure
Of what the outcome of tomorrow might be
But they always know what they’re searching for
I’ll display a new signal to end the war
Leaving you to battle with your misery
Close your eyes and think back to the day before
When you lost what you need to be searching for.
