My Hero, My Dad
The pain just won’t fade away,
My heart is starting to decay.
But I just can’t let you go,
So I feel lower than low.
I still can’t believe you’re dead,
This is a trick, I’m sick in the head.
They said with time the pain would fade,
Someone come quick, I can’t manage this facade.
I still remember those first few days,
Wandering around in a blurry haze.
At that moment I was truly alone,
Every tear, I want to condone.
If you’re looking down on me,
I hope you are happy with what you see.
I was blessed to know you while you were alive,
So now on behalf of you I will carry on and strive.
