Time Wasted

Our entire friendship was time wasted
Filled with with fake trust
And eventually we crumbled to dust
Insincere I love you's
The battle was lost
I did lose
I fought endlessly for us
You and I was a must
But you can't have an "us" without trust
I put everything into this relationship
I truly held on with the tightest grip
But it wasn't enough
Things got tough
You told me that if we ended
You wouldn't even blink
When I heard this
I couldn't even think
And to think it was all time wasted.
