Falling Asleep
A single tear slid down my face
As I turned to see the moon
Then slipped with tranquil grace
into the silver pool
The water wrapped around me
clinging to my skin
Trying hard to drown me
fighting its way in
I let a breath escape my lips
As I turned to see the moon
And felt my body sinking
into the silver pool
The water gently held me
as it rocked me slow to sleep
My weight too much to carry
so it softly let me sink
My eyes sparkled with a smile
Under the bright light of the moon
And I laid to rest awhile
At the bottom of the pool
