Silent Streets
Stepping on the shining trolley,
Cars zip past at lightning speed
A small fox darts into the tree line, gone forever
The trolley is well lit by the stark lights lining the ceiling
It appears as if the dark outside will swallow the trolley whole
As we glide deeper into Savannah, the neon glow of shops open late shine
on our of our anxious faces
I hear the constant thump of the cobblestone road sounding a steady rhythm as we
continue on our journey
Scared whispers surround me as the transform into terrified pleads.
I try to focus on the steady hum of the engine.
I wonder if these stories are true?
I wonder where we will go next?
I can feel the tension in the air
An eerie feeling fills the trolley
Everyone is on edge.
Silence, Curiosity, Fear
Silence, Curiosity, Fear
Silence, Curiosity, Fear
