I want to feel your affection
until it becomes my infection.
I want it to be my injection,
without any objection.
My heart that was supposed to be for you, has been fenced in.
Many days, months, years, I spent trying to get you have become part of my internal waste land.
So I now take this stand
As a friend,
As a happy homeless man
And I list you in the book
Of Letters That Never Send
after you list me in the book of Used Men,
And both remain...
Unread.
