Forever Foe
You may tear me down
And you may never call me friend
But, my dear, I see through you
I see your bitter end
You lie and you deceive
And your dishonesty is vain
I wish that you would see the light
And emerge from your dark rain
Oh, the light that used to fill your eyes
The joy that you brought
Has been replaced with pain and tears
By the battles that we fought
Your hatred for me is like an angry tempest
Always unpredictable and fierce
It replaces the unconditional love
That once both our hearts pierced
Where did those people go?
Are they but dead?
There is no hope of friendship
And nothing kind ever said
It is late
And I must now go
And if we’d been blessed to never met
I wouldn't have this angry boy as my forever foe
