The Last Day
What if you knew that today was your last
With each little moment going by much too fast?
And only twenty-four hours till of this world you were free...
Would you spend your last day with me?
Would we run through a field with the grass in our toes
Feel the wind running through both our hair and our clothes?
Would we lay on our backs, watch the clouds going by?
Would we dream what it feels like to fly?
Would we stroll through the town with you holding my hand
Or walk down the beach with our feet in the sand?
Would we sit and remember all the things we have seen
And the many places we two have been?
If ever I learned that today was my last,
With each little moment doing by much too fast,
And only twenty-four hours in the world that I knew,
I would spend my last day with you...
