Sun on My Face
It’s not my fault
I never did anything to him
So why does he insist
On toying with my life
Like I am worthless
Threatening to break me
From my bond on earth
Just so he can take me away with him
And show me off
He is so peculiar
He just keeps looking at me
Bringing his face close to mine
How odd…
I wish I could make him go away
Stick him with a thorn and make it hurt
But I can only wait for him to lose interest
And free my stem and petals from his hands
So I can go on with my day and enjoy the sun
