It would lose the humor hanging on the wire.
The fine subtlety of the irony, lost.
Comic strips’ wit could not repay that cost.
The Simpsons live on its foundation.
An artist’s disguised mocking with this creation.
The amplifier to criticism that burns hot as coal.
Without it, jokes and punch lines can never quite roll.
