She Hid From The Guilt
She sat in here room.
Her eyes bloodshot.
She didn’t move.
She didn’t stare.
She knew what she did.
She told herself she didn’t care.
She didn’t care when she took the step.
The step to that fate.
But when she heard that scream.
Though she was not meant to hear.
She cried in fear.
She tried to stay calm.
She tried to hide.
She tried to hide from the last breath of that life.
But it got her.
It got her good and hard.
She could no longer hide from that guilt.
That she created.
The life that she destroyed.
She couldn’t hide from it.
It got her good and hard.
