The Lost Pilgrim
The shadow long-standing was cleaved
The night’s vigil was lost
The monster was at last released
The world, sunk in dreams, was lost
The hour struck, the bell fell
The last of its beats was lost
The might gong, the shining light
The whole lighthouse was lost
My ship was lost, wandering in the ocean
My heart was in the seas lost
I lost my soul a while ago
Now the flesh and dust was lost
Your memory is now a fading call
Your voice has, its tenor lost
Lost is the glory of the king
His queen’s jewels are lost
Lost is the food for the soul
My provision for the journey is lost
Lost am I, in this world alone
A world that has its sanity lost!
