If rainfall was a human being, it would be you.
Not the calming, relaxing rain
that makes you want to sail off into a deep slumber.
Not the rain that you allow to flutter
upon the crevices of your face.

You are the rain that annihilates everything.
The rain that everyone yearns to avoid.
You are acid rain.

The rain that destructs every life form around you.
Polluting and deteriorating each delicate petal,
of my naive soul.
Persistent. Pattering down on my every emotion,
causing each one of my petals to brown and shrivel.
Your acidic unkindness seeps into my soul,
from the moisture of your malicious droplets.
My petals grasping, to hold on for one more breath
as your cynical actions continue to flood my soul.

Slowly but cautiously the petals plunge
Cherishing every moment from the past
yet pondering the thoughts of what could have been.
Your destructive, polluting rain continues to pour over
my bald stem that remains.

There lye my petals, spread all over the ground
as your acidic, polluting rain continues to fall.
Drip, Drap, Drop.

One of the 4 poems I wrote that mimic Sylvia Plath's style of writing poetry.
