Forward, Rewind
Forward, rewind, eject, new disc.
That one got old so they threw it away
It's all scratched up and can't be fixed
And what does it matter anyway,
When there are so many others
To choose from
Because some people have a lot of discs
They can forward and rewind
And if it's not interesting anymore
A new one is easy to find
For them,
and they can just start over again
But I only have one disc
I forward and rewind all day
The former brings me fear
While the latter brings me grief
But I guess I have to deal with it
This impaired disc of mine
Because no matter how hard I look
It's the only one I can find
I don't get many chances
In fact, I just have one
Unlike others who can start over
Whenever they’re tired of everyone
This disc doesn't show any new faces
Sameness is one of its fixtures
It doesn't display any interesting places
Nor does it take you on any adventures
It just forwards and rewinds
In an endless cycle of monotony
It just forwards and rewinds
And tries its best to kill me.
