Aiming for the Target
It’s in my line of vision,
I can take a shot.
I swear I can.
I’ll do exactly as you taught.
I will follow it entirely on the plan.
Just tell me I have the precision,
And it’s all as good as done.
I’ll hit the target in one fluid move.
I only need one chance; just one.
I swear I won’t disprove.
It’s everything we could possibly envision.
Give me the okay,
The target calls to me.
Tell me to defray.
I’m ready to hit at the count of three.
What’s with your indecision?
You were the one who said you were ready.
You told me it was just a matter of time.
Don’t be so unsteady,
You said you would pay the price for any crime.
Please don’t say you want a rescission.
I’ve been ready for days.
We were to do this together, remember?
I would fall under a similar phase.
I will not let die this glowing ember.
But I’m not up for any new division.
I cannot and will not separate.
If you leave, we are through.
Just learn to perforate,
Or I’ll have to leave you.
Be ready for our ending collision.
You shouldn’t have left me,
Now I have to make you the target.
I really don’t want to have to leave you in this sea.
But you’ve abandoned our argot.
So I’ll be the one to make this decision.
I told you I could hit the target perfectly.
Why did you doubt me so carelessly?
