Paths
My love, I promise you that I am alright
You know my past, that I am broken and beaten
That I bear scars that are hidden from sight
But what you don't know is I am tired of grieving
I've refused to believe that anyone would
Heal my heart, or that they even could
You can't hope someone will release yourself
So now that it's over, I choose to free myself
Let my heartbeat light the way
And let the moonlight shine in day
The path is yours, don't follow me home
But we're still together, you are not alone
We have to find our own road
This world isn't about doing what you're told
But we are going in the same direction
As we have been, forever
Our paths have needed some correction
But we were meant to be together
