I cry myself to sleep at night
Sighs of what could have been escape
Sobs of a broken heart
The moment of a lost opportunity replay
The recollection of a lovestruck smile
The memory of that twinkle in the eye
That sparkled just for me
Remembering that strong firm hand
Grasping mine so gently
I cry myself to sleep at night
Remembering all of this
Wishing for one last chance
One moment more
A single chance to say
"I'm sorry"
