Upon Our Trek
Jitters of a lifetime ago,
They escape us like the once unknown,
Had whisped out tales behind us so,
New memories could form out of its malleable dough.
Past flames meet water,
New experiences did slaughter,
The breath of hope you did hold.
And now we're left here in this frigid cold.
Across this trek,
New cards await to enter our deck.
We must play their cards,
Or remnant over our painful shards.
