Get A Hold of Yourself
You better not smoke or you just might choke
From that poison running down your throat.
Is that even a head?
Not with all that dread you fill it to the brim with.
Deep gagging inhales,
Doesn’t it feel like you’ve just impaled
something previously good?
Thousands of chemicals,
Perilous poisons and
Malicious carcinogens
Reach their brink, devouring
Everything they find.
Still your yellow claws reach
For another pack of cigarettes
You know you really can’t afford.
Motivated by fear and want of attention,
You’ll do anything just to get your name mentioned.
Everything hurt and dying.
Your heart will soon be flying,
Out of your body that is,
While you’re lying on the cold table
And they try to save anything that isn’t already dead.
Trading toxic poisons for 14 years of your life,
All those years just thrown into the garbage can.
You could have taken up something better.
Don’t let the quality of your life
Be eaten away, by something so useless, before you even die.
