New Orleans
New Orleans. The dark city of great sin.
However, though dark, it beckons “come in”.
Most cannot think of good things to say of
A city in great need of His great love.
However, He calls and tells some to go
Even though the reasons they never know.
They follow His lead and trust Him each day,
Expecting Him to form and guide their way.
They start new churches to spread the Good News
Yet those who help them in numbers are few.
Yet God is using them to shine His light,
To show that dark city all of His might.
They have teams come in and help quite often.
In hopes the native’s hearts will be softened.
The broken homes show of broken souls too,
But new churches come to show them what’s true!
New Orleans. The dark city of great sin,
However, though dark, it beckons me in.

To show this dark city all of His might.
