My Gracious God
Oh how can I describe my gracious God
He showers me with gifts from up above
Who gives me so much more than just a nod
But most of all he never ends his love
And even when I think that all is lost
He gives me hope to rise up for the win
And all of this he gives me at no cost
I wonder what makes him forget my sin
In ev'ry way he has me overdone
What can I ever do to pay him back
He sacrificed for me his only son
And constantly I realize I slack
I've got to stop just living to get by
And all he asks me is to merely try
this is written in iambic pentameter, where there is emphasis on certain syllables in each line-is also in abab ryhme scheme.
