The Gray Mask
No need to fear it’s just a name,
No need to fear I won’t put you to shame,
Fright is part of the mystery,
Open up to me for I desire to know,
Know the enigmatic you,
Tell me and reveal yourself to me so I may see the man behind the gray mask,
Enlighten me,
Edify me through your way of thinking,
For I desire your secrets,
And the sights of your roaming mind,
Trust in the secrecy we can keep,
Just you and I inside the mind,
Awareness of reality but vanished in thought,
Where fear is left in the mask,
Grayness and fear it preserves within,
But behind is the face of the enigmatic you which I long to know.
