Getting the Wind Knocked Out of You
getting the wind knocked out of you.
phrase.
feeling my heart break into pieces as you're handing it back to me while she is handing hers to you. feeling the person that I trusted most break the only thing you promised you would make sure no one else would be able to put their hands on. you promised no one else would hurt it, I guess everyone else didn't apply to you because you broke it to a point beyond repair.
the feeling of running into a wall and not being able to breathe because you were crying so hard it was already challenging to get enough oxygen to allow the words to escape my mouth. the words that told you how I felt as your ears were being consumed by the lies coming out of her mouth.
it's worse than than seeing you with your arm around someone else, because, my mistake I trusted someone who was so quick to trust someone just like them. how could you be so stupid to fall for someone who plays the same silly old games. I thought you would've noticed, but I guess you were blinded by the medicine you gave to other people you couldn't tell when other people were serving your own medicine back to you.
