Standing across the room from you-
Most painful thing I’ve ever done,
When all I want to do
Is run so fast and jump
Straight into your arms
(Which, in this dream,
Would be open and waiting)
And you’d hold me so close
It would hurt to breathe-
But it’s really nothing new-
It already hurts to breathe around you.
