Robots,
automatically raised to function to the mindset of our society.
programmed to judge a being with untrue thoughts,
thoughts gaining recognition through history.

our eyes filled with judgement as the iris takes over the way we think.
and slowing our minds darken with all the lies,
lies differentiating people,
people we don't even know.

and sometimes our soft lips meet our harsh thoughts,
to create a bitter taste
our words become poison as we create a new identity,
for the person we don't know

we see a petite frame and think weakness.
we hear muscular and think emotionless.
we admire beauty like none other and think naive.
don't listen to your misguided sight it can't dig through the flesh.

one terrorism act does not define an entire race.
a dim complexion isn't a thug, in welfare, with a lack of intelligence.
the ones' with a pale exterior aren't more wealthy or superior or indiscipline.
these are just disguises with indefinite properties of who we are.
we have caused pain, destruction, sorrow, with our frigid hearts.
hearts? I mean motors.
yet we continue to damage until all we are left with is our shattered selves.
we become fragile as glass where anything can break us.

Then We Think....
why do we hurt to be hurt in exchange?
why do we try to be perfect in this world by doing what
E  V  E  R  Y  O  N  E
does?

because society says it's okay.

but...
Society is just an Inhumane Factory filled with Taint.
And We're the Robots Making It.

I enjoy social media, I think it's very entertaining and a great way to connect with others. One day I lurking on twitter and as usual I saw a bunch of comical tweets about racial stereotypes, but this time I stopped to think. I begin to think how these stereotypes were developed, why people made such a serious matter into a humorous thing, and if stereotypes actually influenced the way people think. I got very passionate about this topic and I thought poetry would be a great way to express my feelings towards it.
