My Worst Enemy

My Worst enemy.
I see him all around me.
I ask him to go away,
But he refused,
And continued to do as he pleased.
I tried to run.
I tried to hide.
But he still found me.
So I tried to make him accept a bribe.
However, he only laughed,
And told me there was no escape.
As I continued to move I felt that,
My chances for survival,
Were cut in half.
Almost out of breath,
I stopped in front of a shopkeeper's window.
Only to find one thing.
My worst enemy is myself.
