At Night
The sun sets slowly in the east,
Noise is decreased
A sense of peace,
As soft as fleece.
The flowers close their weary eyes
A bird, it flies
Into the night,
'Til day's in sight.
And all are safe inside their beds
The stars, they spread
Across the sky
Twinkling up high.

This is a Minute. A Minute consists of twelve lines and sixty syllables (get it? Sixty seconds and sixty syllables?) in total, and the specific syllable scheme is 8-4-4-4. The rhyme scheme is AABBCCDDEEFF. As well, Minutes are in iambic pentameter (weak strong, weak strong, etc.), a meter common in Shakespeare's works.
